Isabella Lundgren is one of Sweden’s leading jazz singers and a world-class artist. With a fantastic voice and unique intensity, she has the ability to truly captivate her audience. Isabella has been nominated for a Grammis Award and has received countless prizes and scholarships. In recent years, we’ve seen her perform at the Sports Gala and SVT’s New Year’s Concert, on Allsång på Skansen, and on På Spåret.

In the concert program “All, or Nothing at All,” Isabella sings the greatest “arias” from the American songbook—about heartbreak, longing, and picking yourself up again and again—composed and performed by some of the most iconic and powerful women in music history: Billie Holiday, Judy Garland, Edith Piaf, Maria Callas, Shirley Bassey, and Barbra Streisand. The women who threw themselves into their music with raw emotion, breaking the hearts of both their audiences and themselves.

Isabella Lundgren – vocals
A Swedish jazz singer and one of the country’s most acclaimed jazz voices, known for her personal style and her roots in the American vocal tradition. She studied music in New York and, since her recording debut in 2012, has released a series of critically acclaimed albums. The album Somehow Life Got in the Way was awarded the Gyllene Skivan in 2014, and in 2015 she was named Musician of the Year by Sveriges Radio’s Jazzkatten. In 2017, she also received the Monica Zetterlund Scholarship. Isabella Lundgren has performed in both small jazz ensembles and larger orchestral settings and, over the years, has shared the stage with several prominent Swedish musicians.

Carl Bagge – piano
Pianist, arranger, composer, and bandleader, well established on the Swedish jazz scene. Bagge studied at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, where he is currently a lecturer in the Department of Jazz, and has worked in jazz, pop, and theater. He has collaborated with Isabella Lundgren for many years and has also worked with artists such as Robyn, Svante Thuresson, Rigmor Gustafsson, and Jonas Kullhammar. In addition to his work as a pianist, he is active as an arranger and bandleader, including with the Ekdahl/Bagge Big Band.

Niklas Fernqvist – Base
Niklas Fernqvist is one of the most sought-after Swedish jazz bassists of his generation. After studying at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, he has established himself as a versatile ensemble and session musician and has toured both in Sweden and internationally. He has collaborated with a number of prominent artists, including Claire Martin, Isabella Lundgren, Vivian Buczek, Ellen Andersson, Lisa Nilsson, Joel Lyssarides, and Karin Hammar. Fernqvist has appeared on numerous recordings and is a regular performer in various ensembles on the Swedish jazz scene.

Daniel Fredriksson – Drums
Daniel Fredriksson is an established Swedish jazz drummer with extensive experience as an ensemble and session musician. He has performed in a wide variety of jazz settings and has been a member of Klas Lindquist’s ensembles for many years. There, he can be heard, among other places, in the Klas Lindquist Nonet and on the albums Alternative Source of Energy and Handle With Care. Fredriksson also collaborates with other renowned Swedish jazz musicians and is a regular drummer in various groups and projects on the Swedish jazz scene.

If you have a dinner ticket, you’ll be served a two-course dinner.

Main Course – Choose 1 of 3 options when you book:

  • FISH: Glazed Farm-Raised Fish—Clarias with confit tomatoes, pickled berries from the farm, foamed butter sauce, and toasted breadcrumbs with garlic—served with butter-tossed boiled potatoes topped with chives
  • MEAT: Wild boar loin with oven-roasted potatoes and carrots, cognac-pepper sauce, black currant jam, baked tomato, and sautéed cabbage
  • VEGETARIAN: Pan-seared zucchini with apple glaze, quinoa salad with tomatoes, fresh green beans, yellow pea purée with tahini, Parmesan, green peas, and mint

Dessert

  • Vanilla ice cream with fresh berries from the garden, lavender dreams, raspberry sauce, and black currant leaves
  • Coffee / tea

You can specify any allergies or dietary requests, etc., which you should indicate when making your reservation.

For those with a dinner ticket
If you have a dinner ticket, you have a table reservation from 18:00, food is served from 18:45.
The concert starts at 19:30.

For those with standing room
The bar opens at 18:00 and offers a nice selection of beer, wine, and non-alcoholic options. A bar menu will be available. You’ll have standing room during the concert. The concert starts at 19:30, but please arrive at least 30 minutes early.

About Kafé Källtorp, to do before or after the concert
Kafé Källtorp is located by Lake Källtorpssjön. The farm consists of a conservatory with associated garden, greenhouse and bike park. You are welcome to look around the garden, take a dip from the bathing jetty or take a walk in the beautiful surroundings.

Accessability
Both the room (conservatory) and the toilet are accessible, but there is a gravel floor in the conservatory.

Bus
Bus 401 runs from Slussen to Älta several times an hour, stopping at Källtorp (about 15 minutes from Slussen).

Bus 821, which runs between Tyresö Centrum and Nacka Hospital, also stops at Källtorp.

Car
It is possible to park in the courtyard, turn left when you enter through the gates. Limited number of parking spaces.
