One of the most interesting new names in Swedish vocal jazz, Isabel Berglund, will be performing at Källtorp Jazz & Sound on 23 May 2026, with music that combines modern jazz, classic soul and timeless pop!

Isabel Berglund is a Stockholm-based jazz singer and composer who has quickly become one of the most interesting names in Scandinavian vocal jazz. Her debut album, Open Every Window (2025), is described as an organic link between modern jazz, classic soul and timeless pop. The music emerges from personal stories of longing and hope, where honest lyrics meet sophisticated arrangements and a deep presence.

Inspired by greats such as Dianne Reeves, Stevie Wonder and Carole King, she creates a sound that is both soulful and innovative. Critics have praised her for her mature approach and strong songwriting, describing her voice as flawless in everything from swinging grooves to touching improvisations. Isabel is a rising star and was featured in Swedish Radio’s list of the best music of 2025.

Here she appears together with Leo Lindberg on piano, Samuel Löfdahl on bass, and Henrik Jäderberg on drums.

Isabel Berglund, vocals
Her musical foundation was laid at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, where she graduated in 2023 after distinguishing herself as a brilliant talent during her studies. This training has led to collaborations with some of the country’s leading musicians from the younger jazz generation. On her acclaimed debut album, she surrounds herself with renowned instrumentalists such as pianist Britta Virves, organist Leo Lindberg and guitarist Oskar Nilsson Bettinsoli, all under the production of the highly accomplished percussionist and arranger Calle Rasmusson.

Isabel’s voice has become a regular feature on stages such as Fasching and Glenn Miller Café, where she often performs with her regular quartet consisting of Mikael Wilhelmsson, Jakob Ulmestrand and Axel Nilsson. Through these live performances and her recordings, she has quickly won the trust of critics; she has been highlighted in influential publications such as OrkesterJournalen and Nettavisen as one of the most eagerly awaited and promising newcomers in her genre, cementing her position as a key player in modern Swedish jazz.

Leo Lindberg – Piano
Pianist Leo Lindberg is one of the most influential musicians on the Swedish jazz scene, acclaimed for his deeply rooted swing and technical virtuosity. He trained at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm and, since his breakthrough in his early years, has become a much sought-after musician both nationally and internationally. During his career, he has shared the stage with legends such as Nils Landgren, Bernt Rosengren and Nisse Sandström, and collaborated with profiles such as Amanda Sedgwick and American clarinettist Ken Peplowski.

Samuel Löfdahl – Base
Samuel Löfdahl is a sought-after bassist who moves seamlessly between different musical worlds, always with a confident and responsive presence. With his musical foundation from the Royal College of Music, he has established himself as a cornerstone in several prominent jazz constellations and is often heard alongside artists such as Anna Greta Sigurdardottir, Agnes Darelid and Amanda Ginsburg. In addition to his work on the jazz scene, he is currently involved in the musical production of Dear Evan Hansen at Intiman.

Henrik Jäderberg – Drums
Drummer Henrik Jäderberg stands out with his dynamic and responsive playing, which combines power with finesse. He trained at the Royal College of Music and over the years has developed a personal sound that has made him a frequently sought-after musician in a variety of contexts. Henrik has collaborated with a number of prominent names in Swedish jazz, including Emmalisa Hallander, Linnea Johnsson and the acclaimed pianist Lars Jansson.

The concert starts at 19.30.

For standing audience
The bar opens at 18.00 and has a nice selection of beer, wine and non-alcoholic options. A bar menu will be available. During the concert, you will have a standing place. The concert starts at 19.30, but please arrive at least 30 minutes before.

About Kafé Källtorp, to do before or after the concert
Kafé Källtorp is located by Lake Källtorpssjön. The farm consists of an orangery with associated garden, greenhouse and bike park. You are welcome to look around the garden, take a dip from the bathing jetty or take a walk in the beautiful surroundings.

Accessibility
Both the room (conservatory) and the toilet are accessible, but there is a gravel floor in the orangery.

Bus 401 runs from Slussen to Älta several times an hour, stop Källtorp (about 15 min from Slussen).

Bus 821 that trafficks the line Nacka Sjukhus – Tyresö C, also stops at Källtorp.

Car
It is possible to park in the courtyard, turn left when you enter through the gates. Limited number of parking spaces.
