Ellas Kapell, one of Sweden’s most acclaimed jazz bands, will perform at Källtorp Jazz & Sound on Oct. 24, 2026

Ellas Kapell –
Källtorp JAZZ & SOUND

Ellas Kapell is one of the most exciting groups on the Swedish jazz scene—a band that, with great musicality and a style all its own, carries on the legacy of Ella Fitzgerald while creating something new. The quartet invites you to a warm, playful, and intimate concert experience where jazz classics meet innovative arrangements, improvisation, and responsive ensemble playing. The result is music that feels both timeless and thoroughly contemporary.

Since its inception in 2016, Ellas Kapell has established itself as one of Sweden’s most acclaimed jazz bands. They have released four critically acclaimed albums, won Orkesterjournalen’s reader poll, been named “Vocal Jazz of the Year” by Lira Musikmagasin, and amassed millions of streams on streaming platforms. On their latest album, Ember, the band takes another step forward by handling the production and recording themselves—an expression of the artistic integrity and curiosity that characterize their entire creative process.
