Adolphson & Falk “Ferlinfynd”

11 April 2026

Loving compositions and half a century of musical magic! Adolphson & Falk unite the past with the present with their Ferlin findings, and will be guests at Källtorp Jazz & Sound on 11 April 2026.

Adolphson & Falk “Ferlinfynd” –
Källtorp JAZZ & SOUND

After 50 years together, the legendary duo Adolphson & Falk are back with the deeply personal project Ferlinfynd. It all began with a sensational literary discovery – previously unpublished poems by Nils Ferlin, found hidden in old wooden trunks and bags belonging to relatives.

Inspired by these newly discovered words, Adolphson & Falk have created an entire album where newly composed music meets poetry that has been hidden for decades. It is a meeting between then and now, where they interpret both the unknown works and beloved classics such as ‘Vilse’ and ‘På Arendorffs tid’. As a beautiful finale to the project, we are also treated to a newly written tribute song – a musical farewell letter to one of our most beloved poets.

Adolphson & Falk entered the music industry in the 1970s by setting several of Barbro Hörberg’s lyrics to music on her last three albums. Their big breakthrough came in the 1980s when the group set the sound for an entire generation through their collaboration with synth master Greg FitzPatrick.

During the evening, we will experience both Ferlin’s new material and perhaps some of the big hits we all recognise. It will be an evening where poetry and music come together in a heartfelt portrait of Nils Ferlin. Passionate, empathetic and genuine – a musical experience you will remember for a long time to come!

Adolphson & Falk – A musical journey since 1968.
There is something special about collaborations that develop over time. For Tomas Adolphson and Anders Falk, it all began in 1968 during their military service. Between exercises, they found each other in harmony singing and songwriting – a friendship and musical dialogue that has now lasted for over 50 years.

From synth pioneers to beloved storytellers
During the 1970s, they honed their songwriting skills and delivered material to artists such as Barbro Hörberg, but it was in the early 1980s that everything exploded. Through cult programmes such as Eldorado and Metropol, they became pioneers of Swedish synth pop. With groundbreaking albums such as Med rymden i blodet and hits such as ‘Blinkar blå’, they created a sound that felt both futuristic and deeply human – a collaboration with sound geniuses such as Greg FitzPatrick, who is still celebrated today for his originality.

Music that spans generations
Most of us have a personal connection to their music, whether it’s through the atmospheric classics of the 1980s or the immortal ‘Mer jul’ (More Christmas), which has been an integral part of Swedish Christmas celebrations since 1984. But Adolphson & Falk have never stood still. Over the years, their music has moved from the vastness of space to the intimate, existential questions, often performed in stripped-down, acoustic formats where their voices and guitars take centre stage.

New melodies for classic words
In their latest project, Ferlinfynd, we get to see a new side of the duo. By setting previously unpublished poems by Nils Ferlin to music, they combine their own craft with that of one of our most important poets. It is music that feels both timeless and new at the same time.

When Tomas and Anders visit us, it will be an evening characterised by presence and the joy of storytelling. It is an invitation to a musical world where old hits live side by side with brand new material, all performed with the natural confidence that only 50 years on stage can give.
