Rent a mountain bike or gravel bike from us! There are super nice mountain bike trails right around the corner. We rent out TREK bicycles.

OUR BIKES FOR RENT

Mountain bikes and gravel bikes in different sizes, including mountain bikes for children. We pride ourselves on always offering bikes that are in perfect working condition upon delivery. Helmet is included in the rent. Knee and elbow pads can be rented on site.

When you rent a bike from us at Mountainbikeskolan, it is important that you follow the “Allemansrätten” regulations regarding off-road cycling. In Erstavik, where we are, those who walk and run have priority. In the forest around Stockholm, the app Trail Forks is used when we talk about the names of the trails. Download it on your Smart Phone and it will be easier to find the trails suitable for you in Stockholms trail mecca!

Trek Roscoe 7

Front suspension bike, Trail Bike

Suitable for anyone who wants to try out mountain biking. All-round mountain bike that can handle any trail at a leisurely pace. Great for leisurely riding or for those with good technique who can handle a slightly harder bike, as it only has front suspension.

Trek Top Fuel 8

Full suspension bike, Down country, available in size ML, L and XL.

Trail cycling, flowy and technical
Light and fast bike with a little less suspension. Great for flowing trails, but also technical trails if you have a good mountain bike technique. This bike also performs well in long distance races such as the Cykelvasan.

A sturdy bike that can handle any trail. Suitable for all beginners as it is very stable. Also suitable for those who want to be able to ride both on the most technical trails and downhill, enduro.

This bike is made to ride on gravel roads, it can also handle easier trails. The bike is also fine if you want to ride a bit on asphalt, on country roads. This is a perfect bike for long days of cycling adventures in Erstavik and southern Stockholm.

Sweden’s best mountainbike-trail area

For approx. ten years ago, the founder of Mountain Bike, Garry Fisher, visited to test Stockholm’s, already recognized trail area Hellas. It is said that Garry was completely lyrical and named Hellas one of the world’s four best trail areas. True or not, we just know that everyone who comes here loves this area. But give it some time, there are over 250 trails. Like everything else that is really good, it takes some time to learn the area. If you’re a beginner, start with green trails, in the Trail Forks app. Hellas can be both flowy and fantastically technical. Start slowly, then head towards blue and red trails.

Here we have collected some of the most common questions we get here at Mountainbikeskolan regarding bike rentals. If you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to contact us and we will help you find the right bike!

You can rent a mountain bike from us by the hour and up to a week through our online booking system. If you wish to rent a bike for a longer period than one week, please contact us and we will book it manually.

A mountain bike is included in the “try-out” courses. For the basic courses you need to book the course, then book a rental bike (or bring your own bike).

We have the Trek Roscoe 7 and 8, a very good trail bike with front suspension. We have full suspension bikes, such as the Top Fuel 8 and Fuel Ex 8. We also have the Trek Checkpoint 5 and 4, a gravel bike. We also have bikes for children of all sizes.

Front suspension MTB – Trail bike: Trek Roscoe 7. Mountain bike for both flowy trails and technical cycling.
Full suspension MTB – Cross Country bike XC: Trek Top Fuel 8. Light and fast full-suspension bike for gravel roads and trails. Fast and responsive bike for those who’ve done a lot of MTB riding and know their way around. (Currently not on site)
Full suspension MTB – Trail bike/ Enduro: Trek Fuel Ex 8. Fully cushioned mountainbike for trail and technical riding, good for trail riding.
Gravel bike: Trek Checkpoint 5. Bike for gravel road cycling, light trail and road cycling.
Kids’ bikes: We have all sizes from 20″ wheels upwards. All our children’s bikes are mountain bikes.

Bus 401 runs from Slussen several times an hour. Bus stop: Källtorp, about 15 minutes from Slussen.

Car
Drive towards Älta, at Sickla follow road 260. You pass Hellasgården on your left, go a few hundred meters more, pass the allotments. Turn left into the Mountain Bike School and Kafé Källtorp.
