Mattias Ståhl has an obvious place on the Swedish jazz scene and has also reached far beyond Sweden’s borders. As one of the best vibraphonists we have ever had, he creates magic with his virtuoso playing.

In recent years he has played extensively with such great artists as Per Texas Johansson, Georg Riedel and Emil Svanängen/Loney Dear. Currently active groups are Martin Küchens Angles, Norwegian-Swedish I.P.A. with Magnus Broo/Atle Nymo/Håkon Mjåset Johansen/Ingebrigt Håker Flaten.

Joining him this evening are Karlstad-born Alexander Zethson on piano and Chris Montgomery on drums, as well as bassist Palle Sollinger. It promises to be a festive and fun jazz evening at Källtorp with this different jazz constellation.

Tickets

  • Dinner ticket: entry, dinner and seating. Main course and dessert.
  • Child dinner ticket (under 15 years old): entry, dinner and seating. Main course and dessert.
  • Standing ticket: entry and bar service.
  • Music students: entry and bar service.

    Admission from 6:00 PM.
    Dinner is served from 6:45 PM.
    Music starts at 7:30 PM, 3 sets à 25 minutes.

For those with a dinner ticket, two specially composed dishes are served.

Hot dish

  • Autumnal venison stew with potato puree and herb cream
  • Hearty vegetarian sausage casserole with hazelnut potatoes

    Dessert
  • Dark chocolate dessert with lingonberry fudge, roasted nuts and caramel sauce

    There is a possibility to choose a vegetarian option and other preferences, which you can communicate at the time of booking.

For those with a meal ticket
If you have a dinner ticket, you have a table reservation from 6:00 PM, food is served from 6:45 PM.
The concert will start at 7:30 PM.

For those with standing room

The bar opens at 6:00 PM and has a nice selection of beer, wine and non-alcoholic options. A bar menu will be offered. During the concert, you will have a standing place. The concert will start at 7:30 PM, but please arrive at least 30 minutes before.

About Kafé Källtorp, to do before or after the concert

Kafé Källtorp is located by Lake Källtorp. The place consists of a conservatory with a garden, greenhouse and bike park. You are welcome to look around the garden, take a swim from the jetty or take a walk in the beautiful surroundings.

Accessibility

Both the room (the conservatory) and the toilet are accessible, but please note there is a gravel floor in the conservatory.

Bus 401 runs from Slussen to Älta several times an hour, bus stop Källtorp (about 15 minutes from Slussen).

(…)it is not fully free, yet it expresses the adventurous “new thing” spirit of the late 1960s. (…) I think that the Ståhls Trio’s Källtorp Sessions is a great record.
