Guided mountain bike tour on lovely trails, surrounded by beautiful nature. Mountain biking at your level, with the benefit of a knowledgable coach.

Guided MOUNTAIN BIKE tour

This course is for women and men who want to go mountain biking in the beautiful forest, just a short distance from Stockholm City. You ride a great bike and are guided safely by an English-speaking coach on easy and flowy trails for beginners or more challenging trails if you are an experienced MTB rider.

Please note: Saturdays – more advanced level, Sundays – beginner level. Choose between a hardtail (bike with front suspension only), or a mountain bike with full suspension, when you book.

  • Price: from 890 kr incl. bicycle and helmet.
  • Time: Saturdays 10:00-12:00, Sundays 13:00-15:00
  • Dates: Saturdays and Sundays in June-September.

Anyone who can ride a bike can take part. Bicycle and helmet are included in the course fee.

  • Demonstration of the parts and functions of the bicycle.
  • Practice shifting gears, braking and handling the seat post, the “dropper”.
  • Cycling on easy and beautiful trails at your level.
  • The guided tour is for adults of all ages or for young people accompanied by an adult.
  • After the guided tour, you are ready to test mountain biking on your own.
  • Venue: Meeting point is Mountainbikeskolan / Kafé Källtorp, Ältavägen 105 in Nacka. We have some parking lots that are free of charge for guests. Bus 401 and 821 stops just outside our enclosure, bus stop “Källtorp”.
  • Schedule: Please arrive about 20 minutes in advance to set up your rental bike. The course starts with a demonstration of the bike. We then set off on a lovely ride, taking breaks as needed. After 2 hours we’ll be back at Mountainbikeskolan / Kafé Källtorp, where you can buy lunch, coffee / “Swedish fika” and ice-cream.
  • Make new cycling friends: During the tour you will get to know other participants. We arrange a ‘buddy list’ that everyone who wants to can sign up on. Usually groups on Facebook or WhatsApp are created, so that you can stay in touch with your group of cycling friends and meet up for mountain biking even after the course.
  • What to bring: T-shirt, sweater or windbreaker, shorts or trousers. Sneakers or walking shoes. Bring a water bottle for your bike or borrow one from us.
  • 10% off in the shop for tour participants: Mountainbikeskolan has a shop with bicycle equipment such as helmets, arm and knee protectors, gloves, tubes, tires, pumps, etc. As a tour participant you have a 10% discount on everything in the shop during the bike tour day. Mountainbikeskolan is a Trek dealer and has a wide range of rental bikes of all Trek mountain bike models.
  • About us: Mountainbikeskolan started in 2014 and has been running mountain bike courses ever since. Mountainbikeskolan has a garden café and a garden with its own greenery, berries, fruit, vegetables and herbs. There is also a bike park. Mountainbikeskolan organizes cycling events and dinners for companies and groups who enjoy good food and great cycling.
