With full control and flow, we take you to the next level! Downhill cycling, Enduro is the most fun there is, according to the downhill coaches at the Mountain Bike School. Get the essential tips and drive quickly and safely!

DOWNHILL CYCLING, LEVEL RED, ONE DAY

This course is for those who want to take their downhill cycling skills to the next level by finding the keys to speed and flow on red trails.

  • Price: 1 695 kr incl. lunch, smaller breakfasts and coffee breaks.
  • Dates: April 20, May 26, June 8.
  • Time: 9.30 – 15.30.
  • One-day course, bring your own bike and helmet or rent from us. There is a possibility to rent an enduro bike.

You have completed the Technique course – red level, or our previous Enduro courses, or are used to downhill cycling and have good control and position on the bike.

You can take this course several times as you will receive personal feedback on your level and we work with adjustments to your cycling and you need to practice a lot before it sits.

  • We cover how to position yourself on the bike on steep and technical sections.
  • Brake safely and effectively downhill to gain speed and maintain balance.
  • Line selection and targeting to safely descend steep and technical sections.
  • We train on stone chests, tackle off-cambers and dare to let go through messy parts and steep curves.
  • Plan your lines and how best to react and make quick decisions.
  • Cycle some of Greece’s finest downhill trails.
  • The course is for adults.
  • Knee pads are mandatory, rent or buy from us if you don’t have your own.
  • We recommend that you bring a sports drink and 2-4 bars/energy gels to get you through the day in terms of energy.
  • Location of the course: Meeting point is Mountainbikeskolan / Källtorp, Ältavägen 105 in Nacka. We have a certain number of parking spaces that are free for course participants. Bus 401 stops just outside the farm.
  • Schedule: Your course runs at 9.30 – 15.30. If you arrive a little earlier, about 20 minutes, there is breakfast, coffee and sandwiches, and you have time to arrange your rental bike.

    The course starts at 9.30 with assembly and review of the day’s schedule, we then cycle off for lovely trail cycling and technique training. Back for lunch at 12.15 when we eat vegetarian and locally produced food from Kafé Källtorp. At 13.00 we head out and take on more nice downhill sections to practice and hone the right technique. We are back at the mountain bike school at 15.30 to summarize the day over a coffee.
  • Make new cycling friends: During the course you will get to know other students.
  • What to bring to the course: Bicycle helmet, good cycling clothes and extra tube if you get punctured.

    We have everything we need to fix punctures and other potential problems on your bike during the course.

    Other: Use the type of pedals you are used to using. We also recommend that you bring a sports drink and 2-4 bars/energy gels to get you through the day in terms of energy.

    Dropper post, it is very important that you have a dropper post on your bike, if you have an older bike it may be better to rent.
  • 10% in the shop for course participants: The mountain bike school has a shop with cycling equipment such as helmets, arm and knee protectors, gloves, tubes, tires, pumps, etc. You as a course participant have a 10% discount on everything in the shop during the course day. The mountain bike school is a Trek dealer and has a wide range of rental bikes of all Trek mountain bike models.

    The Mountain Bike School started in 2014 and has been running mountain biking courses ever since. The Mountain Bike School has a garden café and a farm with its own crops, berries, fruit, vegetables and herbs. The Mountain Bike School organizes cycling events and dinners for companies and groups who enjoy good food and great cycling.
